Bad weather during your holiday in Cornwall? No problem – there is still plenty to do!
- A wander around Penzance. We have plenty of interesting galleries, independent shops and cafés.
- Visit one of the nearby towns:
- St Ives is a famous former fishing village with an arty and surfing vibe.
- Falmouth is a harbour and university town with a great selection of museums (The maritime museum is great fun for grown-ups and little ones) where you can escape the rain
- Visit the Tate in St Ives
- Watch a movie at Newlyn Filmhouse.
- Spend some pennies at the amusement arcade on the promenade.
- Enjoy the sea – you can’t get any wetter after all!
- Learn to surf
- Enjoy swim at the Jubilee Pool (it got a thermal heated pool…) or a sauna at Raising Embers by St Anthony’s Gardens.
- Just check the forecast and see if there’s been heavy rain.
- Learn to paint with a course at Newlyn School of Art or St Ives School of Painting.
- Make your great escape with Eureka Escape Rooms in Penzance.
- Put on your waterproofs and go for a walk – you won’t find a more authentic British experience…
- Enjoy an afternoon cream tea!
- Play games at Game on Cornwall.
